Drama review
Parsa(hum tv)
Parsa is the
Pakistani drama directed by siraj-ul-haque and produced by momina duraid. The
drama is based on the novel “parsa” written by bushra rehman. The drama is
about interfaith marriages and cultural issues. Drama revolves around a girl
parsa who falls in love with a Christian (david) , who is also her family
friend and her neighbor.
Parsa is a
muslim girl. She has a good family friend next door, tina, joseph and their son
david, they are Christians.parsa and david used to hangout with each other as
they were good friends. Parsa’s parents wants her to get engaged to her cousin
salman, who is quiet opposite to her as parsa is loud and rambunctious. Parsa
only accepts as a choice of her parents otherwise she has no interest in him,
but she realizes that salman needs her after the death of his mother. Meanwhile
david tells parsa that he is in love with her and parsa starts loving him too.
Parsa rejects him as there were cultural and religious differences but david
for her converts himself to muslim. So they get married going against their
parents. The ultimate story begins as parsa and david struggles to get their
parents forgiveness and attempts to make their life for themselves despite of
religious differences.
The overall
acting was excellent, the characters were playing their role perfectly. Parsa
did an excellent job as she was a tomboy first. Dressing was glamorous and
decent and the overall representation of the characters were positive.
The set was
huge, it was a house and the lightings were perfect at every shot/scene. Makeup
was really nice according to the characters personality. Everyone looked
elegant.
People found
this drama really interesting and its demand was high.the drama was excellent
but the thing that was bad in it was that david asked parsa not to bring her
religion in every matter but why he said so if her was converted to islam.
Otherwise the drama was really good, hats off to the actors. This drama is the
true lesson for our generation that why should we obey our parents, they choose
the right for us. They have portrayed this fact wonderfully.
